achilles choice

I would choose the life where I would prosper without any fame. I, personally, do not care how long my name stays in popularity. I would much rather have a family and children and love them all for a long time then to die early. Once you die, you are dead and cannot enjoy the name you have created for yourself. But, in a community, I could create a smaller name without having to die. I wouldn't really like to have the smaller name either. Just a name that my family and friends would remember.
I would much rather cherish happy memories for a long time than only have a few to think about in a short life. So, I would not have done what Achilles did. I would have ran away from the battle to a far, distant country and created a new family and friends. There, no one would know what I ran away from and anything about my past.
